Is meditation different from hypnosis? How?

At this point I'm making a sort of guided imagery meditation, I'm at ease, because I have studied meditation and yoga for many years, but this seems a little stronger, and really takes you to another world " images. Could this be as hypnosis, and is potentially dangerous in any way?

It is very similar to hypnosis, to enter the state the mind itself. However, guided meditation takes you on an imaginary journey completely different from where you are. It is dangerous because your mind is objectionable barriers based on their own morality. Thus, under hypnosis or meditation, can not be forced to even think of something you find objectionable. If you are trying to provoke a repressed memory, or make you not want to do something, your mind refuses, and goes beyond the trance after a while. So it's not dangerous.
